How Homellow Uses AI
Homellow uses AI-assisted features to help make home maintenance easier to understand, plan, and organize. These features may include personalized suggestions, task ideas, summaries, reminders, and other guidance based on the information available in your home profile.
AI-assisted features are intended to help you notice useful patterns and next steps, such as possible maintenance tasks, seasonal upkeep, warranty or repair context, and home care items that may be relevant to your household.
Personalized Suggestions
Homellow offers AI-generated recommendations tailored to your home's profile. These suggestions are designed to help you stay on top of maintenance and care tasks that may be relevant to your specific home, systems, appliances, supplies, service history, and preferences.
Suggestions may change as your home profile changes, as you add or remove information, or as Homellow improves the models and prompts used to generate them.
AI-Assisted Features
Homellow may use AI to support features that help you organize home-related information. For example, AI may help draft task descriptions, identify possible follow-up actions from saved home details, summarize maintenance context, or suggest helpful reminders.
These features are assistive tools. They are not autonomous decision-makers, and they do not replace your own review, judgment, or the advice of qualified professionals.
What AI Features Are Not
AI-generated content in Homellow is for informational and organizational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice or services from licensed contractors, inspectors, engineers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, pest control specialists, or other qualified professionals.
You should always exercise your own judgment and consult qualified professionals before making decisions involving repairs, safety, structural issues, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, installations, inspections, or significant changes to your home.
How AI Content Is Generated
Homellow's AI-assisted features may use Google's Gemini AI and related processing to generate content based on information in your home profile and the context of the feature you are using.
While we strive for relevance and usefulness, AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for your home's specific conditions, configurations, local requirements, climate, product models, or safety needs.
Managing Personalized Suggestions
You can enable or disable personalized suggestions for each home in the Homellow app at any time:
- Go to Manage Home -> Preferences
- Toggle "Enable personalized suggestions" on or off
- You may be asked to accept a brief consent statement
You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling this feature.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it. Do not use AI-generated suggestions as the sole basis for maintenance, repair, safety, financial, legal, or insurance decisions.
If a suggestion appears incorrect, unsafe, unclear, or inconsistent with professional guidance, product manuals, warranty documents, building codes, or local requirements, you should disregard it and seek qualified help.
